Support the Fund for Victims of Terror

Sigal Yehud and Eden Zer

Eden Zer \\ Public Affairs Coordinator, The Fund for Victims of Terror, The Jewish Agency

Sigal Yehud \\ Survivor of the Kibbutz Nir Oz massacre and widow of Dolev, who was murdered. Her sister-in-law Arbel and her partner Ariel Cunio – as well as Ariel’s brother David – were kidnapped by Hamas. Arbel was later released in a hostage exchange.

On October 7, a pregnant Sigal sheltered with her three kids in the bomb shelter of their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz, while her husband, Dolev, a volunteer medic, went out to save lives; he never returned. For eight months, Sigal believed he was kidnapped by Hamas, advocating for his release until his remains were identified on the kibbutz, where he had been murdered in the initial attacks.

Eden, who knew Sigal and Dolev from earlier years, never imagined their paths would cross again under such tragic circumstances. When they reconnected, the years faded away as Eden offered Sigal the support of the Fund for Victims of Terror.
