On the morning of October 7, Adi was driving with her family when they spotted a white car braking in front of them. Three seconds after she began to wonder why the car had slowed down, Adi got her answer when she took a bullet to the stomach.
Adi went through weeks of extensive recovery and constant panic attacks, but persevered. Shelly supported Adi throughout this journey, forming a close bond, and the Fund for Victims of Terror also provided financial assistance to help the family heal. And though Shelly was there to support Adi, she was moved by Adi’s strength as Adi faced the impossible with resilience, hope, and optimism.
